Fryern Infant School Council 2023-2024

Our school council plays an important role in ensuring pupil voice is valued and heard.  Via the school council pupils are able to share their views and be consulted about what happens in their school.  At the start of the new school year, in a democratic way, each class votes for two class representatives to be part of the school council.  The council meet once a fortnight and share and discuss ideas and agree actions to be shared back in class.

Our school council are currently focussing on:

  • Designing an outdoor play trail for Key Stage 2

  • Caring for our school environment

School councils are a great way for students to take on leadership roles, promote the voice of the student body, problem solve and impact their community.  The school council severs as the voice for the entire student body and actively works with teachers and advisors to promote a better learning environment.
